Touring exhibition: 2008-2013
“Utopia and Imagination” is one of The National Museum´s school exhibitions, which are touring schools throughout Norway in collaboration with the Cultural Rucksack. The Cultural Rucksack is a national programme for arts and culture for all students in Norwegian primary and secondary schools, in other words for all students 6–19 years old.
The exhibition Utopia and Imagination presents a small selection of experimental and future visions of architecture and highlights six architectural utopias from the 20th century onwards. Architectural utopias are shown in models, complementary images and texts with descriptions of utopia’s visions for a better life.
Each of the six utopias is located in foldable boxes that contain an exciting model with accompanying texts and pictures.
