YES IS MORE. BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group

12 March–25 April 2010

Exhibition and Book Release

The National Museum – Architecture, Norway

The exhibition showed a selection of works from one of Denmark’s most successful and innovative architectural offices: BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group. Controversial, rude, innovative and provocative are just some of the characteristics that have been used to describe BIG, and the architectural office is already referred to as a legend. With Bjarke Ingels at the forefront, BIG has created both award-winning and innovative building projects, they have gained an international reputation and have marked themselves in the social debate. Based on the vision of liberating the architecture from ignorance and instead considering modern life as an inspiring challenge, the architectural office has contributed significantly to renewing the Danish architecture tradition.

The exhibition “YES IS MORE” appeared in the vault of the National Museum – Architecture, and the book with the same title is designed as a cartoon universe where the audience were invited to explore the BIG’s metropolitan architecture and in their working methods from ideas to finished buildings.
